Snowman Gift Card Holder – Honey Bee

Happy Tuesday friends!! I have a Honey Bee project for you today!! Have you seen the new Brie Mine Release?? So totally adorable!! I can’t wait to use it!!

However, I’m not quite finished with Christmas!! I am sharing a project today that I need to make quite a few of. My nieces are all at ages where they love to get gift cards for the holidays, so I like to come up with creative ways to gift them.

I started off by cutting the Gift Bag Card Honey Cuts from heavyweight white cardstock, folding, and adhering the pieces together with strong adhesive. I wanted to create a snowman’s face on the bag, so I sifted through my dies until I found the perfect combination. I used an oval shape from each of the Layering Bee Hive and Bee Hive Honey Cuts to cut the eyes from white cardstock & black glitter paper. I used one of the Stacking Pennant Honey Cuts to cut the nose from orange cardstock. (I did reposition the die-cut back into the die and cut it a second time to get a longer, thinner nose.) A circle from the Coffee Break Honey Cuts was used to cut the circles for the mouth from black glitter cardstock. I popped all of the die-cuts up onto the front of the bag with foam adhesiveas shown, for lots of dimension. The tissue portion from the Gift Bag Card Honey Cuts was cut from red cardstock, as was the Gift Card Pocket Honey Cut. The pocket was folded and adhered to the tissue die-cut. Lastly, sheer black & white polka dot ribbon was used to create the handles for the bags.

I really love the way that these turned out!! I hope I’ve inspired you to look at your dies a little differently!!

I guess I’d better get busy if I plan to make more…Christmas is on its way!!

I’ll see you soon!!
