Spellbinders April Card Kit of the Month

Good morning!! I have a few cards to share with you today using the April Card Kit of the Month, Weekend Fun, from Spellbinders!!

I created five cards with this month’s kit, but there are enough goodies to create at least ten cards! Let’s get started!

Here is my first card…

I layered up some of the patterned papers to give me a solid space for my focal point. Pre-printed die cuts, layered stickers and chipboard stickers were added to the center of the card.

A few green sequins completes the card!!

My second…

I matted the dotted patterned paper with gold cardstock and added it to a panel of butterfly patterned paper. I also matted a chipboard sticker with gold cardstock and popped it up with foam squares.

I added the pre-printed die-cut butterflies and foiled vines.

My third card …

For this card, I added strips of gold cardstock to the top and bottom of a piece of patterned paper and added it to a matching panel of patterned paper.

I added a chipboard sticker and some pre-printed die-cuts, popping up the “bring out the bubbles” die-cut with foam squares.

For my fourth card…

I combined two patterned papers, separated by a strip of gold cardstock.

Just like the other cards, I just layered together pre-printed die-cuts and a chipboard sticker.

OK, one more…

I used the stamp & die set included in the kit for this one!! I also brought in a few products from my stash. I stamped the bee & hive onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I die-cut the bee with the coordinating die and fussy cut the hive. The greeting was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, fussy cut and cut into a rectangle.

I ink smooshed some distress inks onto a panel of white cardstock and added it to the gold hexagon patterned paper, separating it with a strip of gold cardstock. The bee “trail” was stamped onto the ink smooshed panel and black ink was splattered onto it. The sentiment was adhered flat, while the hive and bee were popped up with foam squares. I cut a few hexagons from gold cardstock with the included dies and adhered them as accents.
