Spellbinders Artomology by Jane Davenport

Hello & Happy Monday, friends!! Happy Memorial Day to those of you in the US. I hope you are having a good, long weekend!!

Spellbinders reached out to me and asked me if I would like to work with some products from the new Artomology Collection by Jane Davenport. Of course, I said “yes!!”. I chose a new coloring medium and a couple of stamps/dies.

The coloring medium that I chose is the Soul Window Colorstick Gel Crayons from the Making Faces line by Jane Davenport. Since this is a new medium for me, I wanted to swatch them and get an idea of how they worked.

One of the other products that I selected was the Mermaid Tail Swatch Stamp & Die Set. I white heat embossed the mermaid tails onto Bristol paper and cut them all out with the coordinating die that is included. Then I scribbled each of the Colorsticks at the top of the die-cut and blended them with water toward the bottom of each tail. I love how this creates an ombre’ effect and it was so easy to do!!

I chose to write the name of each of the colors directly onto the tail and clip them together with a ring.

I was really excited when I saw that the line included a flower die…this was at the top of my list!!

I used the Mums the Word Etched Dies and cut the bloom and leaves each four times, three times from white cardstock and once from silver glitter paper. They were adhered together with spray adhesive, with the silver on top. I used the Colorsticks for the background by scribbling Make a Moue and Flourish onto Bristol paper in a stripe pattern. I sprayed the panel with water and then blended with a brush.

The bloom and leaves were die-cut again from pink & green cardstock, this time saving all of the inside pieces. After adhering the stacked die-cut to the striped panel, the pink & green cardstock pieces were adhered inside the openings on the die-cut. This is like putting together a puzzle! The greeting, from the Spellbinders Words Are Not Enoughstamp set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and fussy cut. It was adhered with foam adhesive. Finally a few Black Gem Stickers add another pop of black and tie everything together!!

I love the dimension that was created by stacking the die-cuts together!!

These products were so much fun to work with!! You can view all of the Artomolgy by Jane Davenport products HERE!

Thanks to Spellbinders for allowing me to work with these fantastic products!!
