Spellbinders December Stamp of the Month

Hello, fellow card makers!! I have a card to share with you today featuring the December Stamp & Die of the Month from Spellbinders!!

The stamp set contains several letters embellished with florals, as well as individual flowers, solid stamps and three sentiments. I combined it with the December Large Die of the Month on my card today.

I began by stamping the letters to spell “love you” and the flowers from the December Stamp of the Month onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. I colored flowers with Copics, then die-cut the letters with the dies included in the December Stamp & Die of the Month. I fussy cut the individual flowers.

Next, using the dies in the December Large Die of the Month, I cut the layered panels from black cardstock, being sure to save the left over shapes from the top layer. I cut the solid rectangle from white cardstock and layered them together with the solid white panel on the bottom.

I trimmed a black cardstock panel slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to a white, top-folding card base. I layered several of the left over die-cuts, then adhered the flowers to them, trimming the excess from the edges. I figured out placement and adhered them to the front of the card, then adhered the layered card panel to the center. The sentiment was adhered to the center of the die-cut panel and some iridescent baubles were added to the centers of the diamonds.

I was determined to find a way to incorporate some of the leftover pieces from the die-cuts and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!!
