Spellbinders Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Hot Foil Plate

Hey, friends!! Happy Saturday! I hope you’ve had a great week!!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today utilizing the Spellbinders Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Hot Foil Plate!! The Glimmer Solid Hot Foil Plates come in several different shapes and let you get the most from your foil, cutting down on waste!!

For my first card, I foiled the A2 Scattered Dot Pattern Hot Foil Plate onto white cardstock with Rainbow Foil and my Glimmer Hot Foil System. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I foiled the left over foil onto another panel of white cardstock with the Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Hot Foil Plate. I trimmed it down and added it to a white panel that was slightly larger. I adhered it to the dot panel with foam adhesive, for dimension.

The sentiment was die-cut from heavyweight white cardstock three times using the Simply Perfect Mix and Match Sentiment Set. The layers were stacked and adhered together, then added to the raised panel.

The Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Hot Foil Plate also solves a problem for me that I have wished for a solution for a long time!! I’ve always wanted to die-cut my sentiment with the same foil that I foiled my project with!! Now I can!!

I foiled the Flower Pattern Glimmer Hot Foil Plate onto white cardstock with Rainbow Foil. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white top-folding card base.

I foiled the Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Hot Foil Plate onto another panel of white cardstock using the same Rainbow Foil. I then die-cut the top layer of the “happy birthday” sentiment from the foiled panel using the Layered Mix & Match Sentiment Set. The bottom layer was die-cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock and layered under the foiled one.

The sentiment was adhered to the center of the front of the card at a slight angle and I was finished!

Foiling just adds an extra special touch to cards, don’t you think? I’m super excited to use my negative foil to create with instead of tossing it!! I also love that I can die-cut my sentiments to match my foiled backgrounds!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
