Spellbinders Gilded Age Glimmer Collection by Becca Feeken

Hey there everyone!! I was absolutely thrilled to guest post for Spellbinders again earlier this week!! I have three cards to share that showcase the Gilded Age Glimmer Collection by Becca Feeken!!

Glimmer1-WM

One of my favorite ways to use hot foil is to choose a patterned paper that coordinates nicely with the color of the foil that I plan to use. I love the smaller patterns in the 6” x 6’ paper pads. Plus, I seem to collect these, so it’s a great way to use them. I used the Blush Hot Foil for all of my projects today.

My first card is an elegant thank you card.

Thank-You-Glimmer1-WM

I started by hot foiling the 2nd largest of the Gilded Nested Rectangle Hot Foil Plates onto a panel of floral patterned paper, then cutting it out with the corresponding Gilded Nested Rectangle Etched Die.

I hot foiled the larger of the two plates included in the Gilded Trimmings Hot Foil Plates onto yellow cardstock and trimmed it, before adhering a narrow piece of ribbon around the bottom. The Thank You sentiment is from the Elegant Occasion Sentiments Glorious Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, also by Becca Feeken. After adhering all of the elements together, as shown, the sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive.

My second is a “Congratulations” card and uses the Gilded Vines Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

I foiled Gilded Vines Glimmer Hot Foil Plate onto white cardstock. I trimmed and matted it with an apricot cardstock and added a bow, before adhering it to a panel of patterned paper. The Congratulations sentiment is from the Elegant Occasion Sentiments Glorious Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, also by Becca Feeken. I trimmed a rectangular panel using the same patterned paper and cardstock to place behind the sentiment die-cut. The rectangle and die-cut were both popped up with foam adhesive.

My final card uses the Gilded Nested Rectangle Glimmer Set Hot Foil Plates with the Lace Frippery Glimmer Hot Foil Plate to create this pretty “Best Wishes” card.

For this one, I foiled the Gilded Nested Rectangle Glimmer Set Hot Foil Plates onto white cardstock and die-cut it with one of the Gilded Nested Rectangle Etched Dies. I also die-cut a sheet of patterned paper with a smaller Gilded Nested Rectangle Etched Die.

The Lace Frippery Glimmer Hot Foil Plate was also foiled onto white cardstock and trimmed. I added a yellow polka dot bow and a sentiment that was included with one of the Glimmer Hot Foil Kits of the Month.
