Spellbinders – Holiday Die D-Lites

Good afternoon!!

Spellbinders recently sent me a couple of dies from the Holiday Die D-Lites Collection to play with & I was giddy when I opened the package!! These dies are so adorable!! I couldn’t wait to sit down & make something!!!

I created a shaker tag with the Holiday Die D-Lites Snowman Etched DiesI began by die-cutting & embossing all the pieces of the snowman from different colors of cardstock, except the top hat, which was cut from black glitter paper. I adhered all the pieces together and set them aside while I worked on the shaker. One of the Nestabilities Standard Circle Dies was used to cut the background for the shaker from light blue cardstock. I heat embossed two different snowflakes in white on the background circle. Two of the circle dies were used to cut a frame for the front of the shaker from the same blue cardstock. I added Snowflakes Confetti & Crystal Blue Mini Snowflake Confetti to create the shaker. The snowman was adhered to the front of the tag & red twine was added as a way to hang it. I think this would be an adorable ornament, as well!!

My second project is a card created with the super-cute Holiday Die D-Lites Christmas Tree Etched Dies.

I began by cutting the trees from the cardstock and papers as shown three times, then adhered all the pieces to each tree. For the background, I ink blended Stormy Sky, Blueprint Sketch, Dusty Concord & Black Soot Distress Oxide inks onto two panels of Bristol paper. I spritzed them with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I also splattered both backgrounds and the trees with Perfect Pearls and white paint. I scored each of the trees down the center and adhered them together to create a dimensional tree for the front of the card. The largest of the Nestabilities Standard Circle Dies was cut from one of the ink-blended backgrounds. I hand drew some snow drifts onto white cardstock and coated them with Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall. Once dry, they were adhered to both panels. Snowflakes Confetti, Snowball Shaker Bits & Bokeh Lights Confetti were added for the shaker element. Finally, the sentiment was stamped in navy onto a strip of white cardstock and adhered to the front of the card, along with the dimensional tree.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great day!!!
