Spellbinders Spring Into Glimmer Collection

Hey, friends and happy Sunday!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!

I recently had a chance to play with some goodies from the Spring Into Glimmer Collection from Spellbinders!! It had been a while since I broke out my Glimmer Hot Foil System, so I was looking forward to making some shiny, foiled Spring cards!! Both of my cards today feature the Glimmer Edge Butterflies and Glimmer Sentiments for Everyday hot foil plates. Both sets also include the coordinating dies to cut out the butterflies and sentiments…I love that!!

For my first card, I began by foiling the butterflies in the Glimmer Edge Butterflies Hot Foil Plates onto white cardstock with Prism Foil. The sentiment, from the Glimmer Sentiments for Everyday, was foiled onto white cardstock with Black Foil. I die-cut the foiled images with the included coordinated dies. The bodies of the butterflies were die-cut from glossy black cardstock and adhered to the centers of the foiled butterflies.

Next, I die-cut the ornate frame from white cardstock using the the die in the Sketched Florals & Frame Small Die of the Month Kit and adhered it to an A2 size panel of patterned paper. The butterflies were adhered in the centers only, allowing the wings to pop up. The sentiment die-cut was popped up with foam adhesive and I added some iridescent gems as the finishing touch.

Here’s my second card…

For this one, I foiled the butterflies in the Glimmer Edge Butterflies and sentiment from the Glimmer Sentiments for Everyday onto white cardstock with Black Foil. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and cut the bodies from black glossy cardstock. I colored the butterflies with Karin Brushmarker Pro Markers and adhered the bodies to the butterfly die-cuts.

For the background on this one, I embossed a panel of white cardstock with the February 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 size panel of purple cardstock. The butterflies were adhered at the centers and the sentiment die-cut was popped up with foam adhesive. I die-cut some tiny flowers and leaves from orange, purple, yellow and green cardstock using dies from the Layered Mix & Match Sentiments Set and adhered them around the sentiment. Lastly, I adhered some purple iridescent gems for a little sparkle.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Spring Into Glimmer Collection!! Such a perfect collection for Spring!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
