Summer Adventures – Papertrey Ink

Hello, my crafty friends!! I hope those of you who celebrate the 4th of July had a wonderful holiday!! I have a summer card to share with you featuring some of the goodies from the latest Papertrey Ink release!!

I started by stamping the palm trees from the Tuck It: Travel Stamp Set onto white cardstock with New Leaf, Pinefeather, Classic Kraft & Dark Chocolate inks. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also cut the clouds and moon from white cardstock using the same die set.

I went to work on the background next. The sand dunes were cut from white cardstock using the Elegant Edges: Fresh Cuts Dies and blended them with Antique Linen & Vintage Photo Distress Inks. The sky was blended with Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet & Villainous Potion Distress Oxides. I splattered all of the panels with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel, then splattered them with diluted white gouache. I decided on placement of all of the die-cuts, then blended white pigment ink around where the moon would go and a bit of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide onto the moon die cut.

The sentiment, from the Inside Greetings: Days of Summer Stamp Set, was stamped onto one of the sand dunes with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. All of the die-cuts were adhered to the background panel with liquid glue, trimming away the excess. The panel was adhered to an A2 panel of Amethyst Allure cardstock. The largest die in the Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frame Die Set was cut from white cardstock and adhered to the front of the card to finish it off.

I have the perfect person in mind to send this to!!

Thanks so much for dropping by!! Have a great Wednesday!!
