Happy weekend, friends!! I hope you have some fun plans this weekend and you’re staying cool!! I have a refreshing cocktail shaker card featuring some of the goodies from the newest Pretty Pink Posh release!!

I started by stenciling my background onto a panel of white cardstock with the Layered Summer Drinks Stencil Set. I used Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and a little bit of Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks. The panel was die-cut with the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I inked the outer edges of an A2 panel of white cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, then adhered the stenciled panel with liquid glue.

Next, I die-cut all of the elements for the cocktail shaker from white cardstock and acetate using the Summer Drink Shaker Die Set. I added color and shading with Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I die-cut the frame of the shaker several times from heavyweight white cardstock, then stacked adhered them together to create the “well” for the shaker and added Beach Party Shaker Beads for the shaker element. The shaker and umbrella were adhered to a vellum oval that was die-cut with the largest die in the Eyelet Ovals Die Set, then the oval was adhered to the background with liquid glue. The orange slice was adhered with a combination of foam squares and liquid glue.

I wanted the sentiment to match the blue background, so I inked a piece of white cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and die-cut the top layer of the Large Summer Shadow Die Set from it and the shadow layer from white cardstock. “Cheers” is from the Summer Sips Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink and cut into a narrow strip. To finish, the die-cut sentiment and strip were both adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares.
