Sunflower Field Birthday Wishes – Honey Bee

Hello, Honey Bee friends and happy Tuesday!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!

I am still pulling out all of my Honey Bee floral stamps in anticipation of Spring!! Today’s card features the Happy Fall Y’all stamp set!! (It’s not just for Fall, y’all!!)

I was inspired by a photo that I saw of a field of sunflowers with a sunset in the background and wanted to try to recreate that.

I began by stamping the sunflowers and leaves from Happy Fall Y’all several times onto white cardstock with FadeOut ink. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out. (The Coordinating Dies are available, however, I didn’t want the white outline.) I added some dots with a black glaze pen to the center of the sunflowers.

For the background, I ink blended Distress Oxides onto a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet. I arranged the sunflowers at the bottom of the panel, then popped them up with foam adhesive and trimmed off the excess.

For the greeting, “wishes” was cut from Glossy Black Mirror Cardstock and vellum with the Wish Honey Cuts. “Birthday”, from the Wish stamp set, was gold heat embossed onto a strip of the same Glossy Black Cardstock. The die-cut and strip were both adhered with foam tape. A sprinkling of Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix was the finishing touches!!

I think this turned out pretty close to my inspiration photo!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I’ll see you soon!!
