Teacher – You Made A Difference – Honey Bee

Happy Tuesday friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!

It’s back-to-school time in many areas and we all know that teachers are some of the hardest working people out there!! My card today would be perfect to show your favorite teacher how much they are appreciated!!

I can’t stop making scenes lately!! Honey Bee makes it so easy with all the different stamp sets you can combine to create unique scenes. I also love mixing new stamp sets with older sets…it just makes me happy!!

Let’s get to my card, shall we?

The branch, several apples and a bee from the Birds and the Bees stamp set, as well as the truck and apples from the Little Pickup set, were stamped onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. After coloring the images with Copic markers, they were all cut out with the Birds and the Bees Honey Cuts and the Little Pickup Honey Cuts. Red cardstock was cut to an A2 size and adhered to my cardbase. The cloud stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil set (a must have for scene building!!) was used with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks on a piece of Bristol paper that was cut slightly smaller than my background panel. I adhered the pickup with the apples in the bed onto the cloud panel. The Grass Border Die was also cut from Bristol paper and then inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide, then adhered toward the bottom of the card.  The largest of the Scallop A2 Frame Honey Cuts and the second largest of the A2 Double Stitched Frames were used to cut the frame from blue cardstock. The Special Teacher Honey Cut was cut from red & white cardstock. The sentiment, from the Special Teacher stamp set was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white onto a strip of red cardstock. I adhered the teacher die-cut and the branch to the front of the frame, then flipped the entire piece over and applied foam adhesive to the back. This gives the illusion that the truck is in the background. Lastly, the sentiment strip, apples and bee were also popped up with dimensional adhesive.

I think this would put a smile on any teacher’s face!!

Well, that’s it for me today!!! Thanks for hanging out with me & I’ll see you soon!!
