Thanks Die-Cut Card – Crafty Meraki

Hello, friends!! I hope you’re all doing well!! I have a thank you card to share with you today for Crafty Meraki!! Most of the time I try to stay relatively neat & tidy when crafting, but every once in a while I like to break out the ink pads and get my fingers inky!!

I began by die-cutting the Laurel Leaf Dies and the Thanks Shadow Word Die from watercolor paper. I smooshed Distress Oxide Inks onto my glass mat, spritzed them with water, then drug my die-cuts through the diluted ink. I did this a couple of times, varying the amount of water that I added to the ink…the more water, the lighter the color and more blended they will be. I used the following colors of Distress Ink: Seedless PreservesPeeled PaintMustard SeedFired Brick and Rusty Hinge.

Next, I die-cut the Thanks Shadow Word Die again from gold glitter cardstock (be sure to save the inside pieces of the h, a, k & s). The background was die-cut from white cardstock using the Dance With Me Background Cover Die, then adhered to an A2 panel of mustard yellow cardstock.

Once the inky die-cuts were dry, I adhered another white die-cut behind it for stability, then adhered all of the die-cuts to the front of the card with liquid glue. Lots of Gold Opal Gems finish off the card.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a bit today!! I appreciate your time!!
