Hello, friends!! I’m sharing a pretty card that combines the new Lovely Layers: Petals and Wings Die Set and Garden Party Pattern Paper Pack from the Honey Bee Stamps Style In Bloom Release with several older sets!! Combining new with older sets is one of my favorite ways to create!!

I began by die-cutting the flowers and foliage from the Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery and Lovely Layers: Autumn Bouquet Die Sets from pale purple, sage green and white cardstock. I added shading and details to the die-cuts with Copic markers and a white gel pen, then adhered each element together with Bee Creative Glue.

The butterfly from the Lovely Layers: Petals & Wings Die Set from plum gingham paper in the Giddy for Gingham Paper Pack, light purple & black cardstock and vellum. I added shading to the light purple layer with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then adhered it together, only in the center, with Bee Creative Glue.

For the background, I die-cut the scalloped die from the Lace Heart Layering Frames Die Set from the same plum gingham cardstock from the Giddy for Gingham Paper Pack and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The pattern paper in the Garden Party Pattern Paper Pack was die-cut with the third largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and adhered to the background. The ornate oval from the Antique Layering Frames Die Set was cut from vellum.

The foliage and florals were arranged and adhered to the vellum layer with Bee Creative Glue, then the vellum was adhered to the background, adding glue only behind the die-cuts. The butterfly was adhered by adding Bee Creative Glue only behind the center of the butterfly, allowing the wings to “pop up”.

The sentiment, from the Heart of Our Family Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with plum dye ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, alond with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then popped up across the stems with foam squares.

I hope you love how this turned out as much as I do!! It turned out even better than I pictured it in my head!! I LOVE it when that happens!!
