Thinking of You – Honey Bee

Good morning!! I’m sharing a bright and colorful “Thinking of You” card for Honey Bee Stamps today. I absolutely love the Bunch of Bouquet Honey Cuts and the Thinking of You Honey Cuts, but I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. So, I decided to combine them!! The outline of the Thinking of You Honey Cut resembles a cloud to me, so I thought it would be fun to put it up in the sky.

I started by die-cutting all of the flowers and leaves with the Bunch of Bouquet Honey Cuts from heavyweight white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I added a little additional shading with colored pencils and Gloss Ebony Nuvo Drops in the center of each flower. I set those aside to dry and began working on my background. Mowed Lawn & Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks were blended onto a panel of Bristol paper for the grass, while Tumbled Glass was used for the sky. The Farm Fence Honey Cut was cut from white cardstock three times and adhered onto the ink blended panel with foam adhesive. The outline of the Thinking of You Honey Cut was cut from white cardstock and the actual words were cut from silver glitter paper. I adhered the outline, then inlaid the die-cut, silver words inside. A few bees from the Bee Hive stamp set were stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics. The bees were cut with the Bee Hive Coordinating Honey Cuts and popped up with foam adhesive around the sentiment. I added trails behind the bees with a black marker. By this time, the Nuvo drops had dried on my flowers, so I arranged the flowers and leaves cascading across the fence. A few Bokeh Lights Confetti pieces were scattered around the sentiment and Clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and bees. Finally, the largest of the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts was cut from white cardstock and the entire panel was adhered to it. When using the Scallop A2 Card Frames, I cut my cardbase to 4″ X 5 1/4, so when I adhere it to the back, it doesn’t show. I like the way it leaves the scalloped edges on the card.

That’ll do it for me today!! I’ll see you soon!!!
