What’s the Buzz? – Honey Bee

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!!!

The Busy Bee set has to be one of my all-time faves from Honey Bee!! So, today I wanted to combine it with some products from the most recent release

I had the idea of a white picket fence with flowers spilling over the top of the fence. I started by stamping some of the flowers and bees from the Busy Bee stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers, before die-cutting with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. The Farm Fence Honey Cuts were also cut from white cardstock and adhered together. Next, I used the 2nd largest of the Double Stitched Squares & the Stitched Scallop Squares Honey Cuts to cut background panels from heavyweight white cardstock. The middle sized Double Stitched Circle Honey Cut was used to cut a circle from the center of the square die-cut. A panel of Bristol paper was cut a bit smaller than the die-cut square. Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks were blended onto the Bristol panel, spritzing with water for some interest. Then it was time to put all of the layers together!! The ink blended panel was adhered to the scalloped square. Next, the fence was attached to the ink blended panel. The square with the circle cut-out was popped up onto foam adhesive, for added dimension. The flowers, leaves & bee were also adhered with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment, from the Perfect Blend set, was stamped with Versamark and heat set with white embossing powder onto a black cardstock strip, before adhering as shown. A 4” x 4” note card was adhered to the back of the scalloped panel. Lastly, a sprinkling of Clear Iris Mixsequins add a little sparkle.

Thank so much for stoping by today!!! Have a terrific week!!!
