Whisking You A Sweet Birthday – Scrap Diva Designs

Happy Saturday, friends!! I couldn’t resist creating a card with the adorable Kitchen Mixer Die Set from Scrap Diva Designs!!

I started by die-cutting the largest mixer in the Kitchen Mixer Die Set from blue, yellow, white and brushed gold cardstock. I added a bit of shading to the bowl with light gray ink and the mixer with blue ink, using blending brushes, then adhered all the pieces together with liquid glue. I added highlights with a white gel pen.

For the background, I die-cut a piece of yellow cardstock with an A2 rectangle die, then die-cut a piece of pattern paper from the Our Groovy Summer Paper Pad with the next smaller size die. The two largest die in the A2 Ribbon Frame Nesting Die Set were taped together and used to cut the frame from blue cardstock. I cut a panel of vellum with the largest die, then adhered it to the back of the blue frame with liquid glue. It was adhered to the background, along with the mixer.

I die-cut the two smallest size dies in the Loopy Flower Die Set twice from white cardstock and the strip from yellow cardstock. I rolled the strip to create the center of the flower and adhered all the die-cuts together, adding liquid glue only in the center to allow the petals to pop up. It was then adhered to the background with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the What’s Cookin’ Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with navy dye ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and one from yellow cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, slightly offsetting the yellow layer, then adhered under the mixer. A trio of enamel dots from the Lemonade Enamel Dots Pack finishes off the card.

Isn’t this so sweet?!? The perfect was to “whisk” a baker in your life a sweet birthday!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
