Wishing You Comfort and Strength for the Days Ahead – Scrappy Tails Crafts

Hello, friends!! I’m sharing an A7 encouragement/sympathy card featuring the latest Scrappy Tails Crafts Good Fortune Release!! I really wish you could see the shine from the holographic cardstock and shimmer vellum on these dragonflies!!

I started with the background by die-cutting the A7 Pond Cover Plate Die from light blue cardstock. I added Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink around the outside of the panel and around the lilypads using blending brushes. The lily pads and waterlilies in the same die set were cut from green, light pink and pale yellow cardstock and blended with Rustic Wilderness, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. The lily pads and waterlilies were adhered to the background with liquid glue.

The dragonflies from the Dragonflies Die Set are the star of the show!! They were cut from blue holographic cardstock, silver holographic cardstock, pearlized silver vellum and black glossy cardstock. All the die-cuts were adhered together, then added to the front of the card with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Bonsai Tree Die Set. The top layer was die-cut once from light pink cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was die-cut from vellum. I added a bit of shading to the pink layer with Kitsch Flamigo and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using a small blending brush, then stacked and adhered them all together with liquid glue. They were then adhered to the center of the background, also using liquid glue. To finish, I added some highlights to the lily pads with a white gel pen.

The way these dragonflies catch the light is unbelievable!!

Thank you so much for hanging out with me today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
