Hello, crafters!! Brenda back with you today!! You know I LOVE a shaped card!! I hadn’t had a chance to use the Cereal-sly Awesome Add-on Die Set from Trinity Stamps, so I decided to remedy that on this week’s card!!

I started by die-cutting the base of the card from heavyweight white cardstock with a die from the Circle Shaped Card Die Set. It was folded along the score line and the fold was reinforce with a Teflon Folding Tool. The bowl and milk from the Alphabet Soup Die Set were cut from light gray and white cardstock. The cereal shapes in the Cereal-sly Awesome Add-on Die Set were cut from red, peach, yellow, green, aqua and purple cardstock. All the die-cuts were adhered to the circle card base with liquid glue.

The spoon from the Alphabet Soup Die Set was cut once from frosted silver cardstock and one time from heavyweight white cardstock. The white die-cut was adhered to the back of the silver one, for stability. The milk and cereal die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment letters, also from the Cereal-sly Awesome Add-on Die Set, were cut from the same colors as the cereal pieces. The shadow layer was cut from vellum.

The sentiment was adhered to the center of the card with liquid glue.

The spoon was adhered to the side of the bowl, so it creates a “leg” for the card to stand up when on display. I used an A2 envelope as a placement guide so it would still fit in the envelope.

Lastly, I added some highlights and dots with a white gel pen to create a little interest and texture.

Here you can see how it stands up when displayed…

I LOVE how this turned out!! How about you…are you a fan of shaped cards?
Have a terrific Thursday!!
