You Are Deerly Loved – Honey Bee

Hello friends!! I hope that you have had a chance to play with some of the goodies from the Honey Bee Deerly Loved Release!! I think this may be my favorite Honey Bee release yet!! (Or until the next one…lol!!) There are several new products that I just didn’t have time to dive in to yet, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to pull out the Silent Night set. I just ADORE it!!

Let’s get started…

There were so many new products that I wanted to use that I had to make a larger card! I also love the bit of unexpectedness that a taller card brings!

I stamped the deer, tree & bunny from Silent Night onto white cardstock with a pale ink and colored them with Copic markers for a no-line effect. I added some accents & highlights with a white gel pen and then cut them out with the Silent Night Honey Cuts. I added some White Neon Amplify and Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall to the tree. I cut a 4″ x 8.25″ panel of Bristol cardstock for the background. The Winter Wonder Background Stencils are definitely a must-have from this release!! I used the stencil set on this background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean for the sky. For the mountains, I used Black Soot and the trees were inked with Iced Spruce. I also created several snow banks with Tumbled Glass. Once all of the ink-blending was complete, I splattered the panel with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I also splattered on a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls, as well as some watered-down white paint. After the panel was dry, I spread some Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall onto the snow banks. The tree was adhered directly to the background panel, while the deer and bunny were popped up with dimensional adhesive. For the sentiment, I cut the “Deerly” with the Deerly Loved Honey Cuts from silver glitter paper and vellum. The rest of the sentiment is from the Deerly Loved stamp set. It was stamped directly onto the background with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The entire panel was adhered to an 4.25″ x 8.5″ panel of blue cardstock and then to a cardbase of the same size.

I am in love with this card!! I can’t wait to send it to my niece!! She will absolutely LOVE it!!

Thanks for joining me today!! I’ll see you soon!!!
