You Make Me a Happy Camper – Honey Bee

Good morning!! I have a card to share today using Honey Bee products. I mentioned last week how I love combining older stamp sets with newer ones. Also, how I have been on a scene building frenzy…lol!! So, guess what I have today?

Yep, you guessed it!! Another scene combining older & newer stamp sets!! I wanted to combine the teepee from My Tribe with some elements from Bill the Bear to create a camping scene!! I just love how Honey Bee stamp sets combine so well together!!

First off, I stamped Bill, the tree stump, campfire & roasting sticks from Bill the Bear and the teepee from My Tribe with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink onto heavyweight white cardstock and then colored them with Copic markers. The Coordinating Honey Cuts, Bill the Bear & My Tribe, were used to die-cut the images. I also dabbed Copic Colorless Blender onto Bill with a small towel to create texture for his fur. I masked off the top area of a Bristol panel (cut to an A2 size) and ink blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks with the cloud stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil Set. Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain Distress Oxides were then blended through the trees from the same stencil pack. Next, that area was masked, then the grass was ink blended with Mowed Lawn & Twisted Citron Distress Oxides. I added some shadows & details to the grass with a few Copic markers. The sentiment, also from Bill the Bear, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and clear heat embossed. The teepee & tree stump were adhered directly to the ink blended background, while Bill, the campfire & roasting sticks were popped up with foam adhesive. Lastly, just a few details were added with a white gel pen.

I appreciated you spending some time with me today!! I’ll see you next Tuesday!!!
