My Pretty Things Blooming Friendships Release— A Celebration of  Growing Our Crafty Community

There’s something truly special about the way creativity brings people together, and that’s why the My Pretty Things‘ tagline is, “Crafting Friendships Everyday”. Whether it’s a handmade card or crafty time shared together, the bonds we build through art are some of the most special moments between friends.

Today, we’re excited to introduce My Pretty Things’ newest release in our first ever blog hop: Blooming Friendships — a collection designed to celebrate community, kindness, and the beauty of handmade expression. If you arrived here from Shalana’s blog, you’re on the right track!! I’ll have a complete list of stops at the end of this post, along with GIVEAWAY info!!

My first card today features the adorable You Made My Day Stamp Set, Postage Stamp Die and the Spring Floral Lattice Stencil, with a sentiment from the Blooming Friendship Stamp Set!!

I began by stamping the images from the sweet You Made My Day Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then fussy cut them out. I die-cut the Postage Stamp Die from light blue cardstock and trimmed it along the perforations to create individual postage stamps. The images were adhered to the postage stamps with liquid glue and the sentiment, from the Blooming Friendship Stamp Set, was stamped onto one of the stamps with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.

For the background, I stenciled the Spring Floral Lattice Stencil onto an A2 panel of white cardstock with Seedless Preserves and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks. The panel was die-cut with a rectangle die. I also die-cut a panel of vellum with a rectangle die, then arranged and adhered the postage stamps to the vellum with foam squares. The vellum was adhered to the background panel, adding liquid glue only behind the postage stamps. I wrapped black and white twine around the panel, tied it into a bow, then adhered that panel to an A2 panel of purple cardstock.

I added some details and highlights to the images with a white gel pen to finish off the card.

My second card features the darling Blooming Friendship Stamp Set!!

I stamped the image and sentiment from the Blooming Friendship Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink, then colored it with Copic markers.

I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of pink and white polka dot paper from the Adventures In Wonderland 6X6 Paper Pack.

I added highlights to the girls’ eyes to finish this one off.
