Hello, crafty friends and happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I have a mostly die-cut card to share with you today featuring the latest Set Sail Release from Scrappy Tails Crafts!!
I began by die-cutting the Beach Essentials and Layering Seagulls die sets from white cardstock. I colored most of the die-cuts with Copic markers and ink-blended the clouds with the same Distress Oxide Inks that I used on the sky (listed below).
For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink for the water and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the sand. I splattered the sand with diluted Vintage Photo ink. I used acrylic paint and a stiff bristled brush to add the “foam” where the water meets the sand and added lines to the water with a white gel pen. For the sky (and clouds), I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Once all of the ink was dry, the die-cuts were adhered together and added to the ink-blended panel with liquid glue. The excess was trimmed from the edges. I used a black gel pen for the seagull’s eye.
The sentiment, from the Guiding Light Stamp Set, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam tape and this card was finished.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week!!
Love this. The colors, the sentiment…May have to go take a look at their web site.
